He gave a moving tribute to Michael Jackson at Sunday night’s BET Awards, and Chris Brown insists it was the real deal.
The “Kiss Kiss” singer broke down crying while singing “Man in the Mirror” and despite rumors to the contrary, he says his tears were genuine.
An inside source claims it was all a show and that Brown’s bodyguard gave him tear-inducing eyedrops just prior to going onstage. “He rubbed it in and he started crying.”
But Chris’ rep says “Brow was moved by the opportunity to pay tribute to his idol,” and that it was all just a little emotionally overwhelming.
Making for quite the interestingly questionable depictions, US artist Dan Lacey has been busily creating a collection of nearly 70 Michael Jackson tribute paintings in the year since the singer’s death.
Among the works are controversy-instigating nudes, as well works showing the King of Pop being pulled up by a representation of Jesus and a young Michael hanging with Tupac Shakur.
Lacey, whose oil painting take several days to complete, hit headlines last year with his surreal painting of a nude President Obama riding a unicorn.
Of his creations, Dan has admitted: “The paintings are quite unusual.”

It was just one year ago today when Michael Jackson slipped on his rhinestone glove for the last time and jumped on Farrah Fawcett piggyback-style to ride her golden feathery waves of glamour all the way to heaven (Theme song for that image: The Neverending Theme song).

Getting another reprieve from having his career put on hold, Dr Conrad Murray was allowed to keep his California medical license.
Appearing in a Los Angeles courtroom on Monday (June 14), the personal physician of the late Michael Jackson was granted the stay after Judge Michael Pastor said that he didn’t have the authority to revoke the license.
The revocation request was made by California authorities, who have adamantly been trying to put a stop to Murray’s practice ever since he was charged with involuntary manslaughter in February.
